Purpose: The purpose of this position is to lead and actively support the daily broadcast operations and REMI workflows of the MLS facilities located in Stamford, Connecticut, providing hands-on broadcast engineering, technical system maintenance, and real-time troubleshooting to ensure reliable performance, meet client requirements, and operate up to NEP standards.

Requirements

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Stamford, Connecticut.
  • Technical or B.S./Electronics field or Engineering preferred, however various combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Valid US Passport is required.
  • 5+ years of experience working in television production technology with progressive managerial responsibility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
  • Supervisory experience required; including project coordination, sales support, and other related activity.
  • Ability to interface with clients and provide a high level of service and support.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to NEPs events as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical expert in supporting the core system and infrastructure for the facility side of a large REMI production.
  • Support, maintain & troubleshoot technical workflows in the MLS facility in Stamford, CT.
  • Support REMI Audio & Video check-in workflows for each event.
  • Monitor broadcast signals and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Respond quickly to technical issues during live broadcasts.
  • Work with the Engineering Management Team to plan, coordinate, and assist with other engineering projects.
  • Maintain documentation, schematics, and as-built drawings.
  • Coordinate with NEP datacenter engineers and field engineers to integrate systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize live broadcast infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with MLS staff and external vendors to coordinate equipment, workflows, and technical requirements.
  • Serve as technical expert supporting the core production, transmission, ad insertion, and monitoring systems for Live Streaming Operations.
  • Complete technical reports for each event to ensure equipment needs/issues are met and resolved.
  • Coordinate equipment needs by working closely with clients, operators, and managers.
  • Maintain and file the proper expense reports for every event or other designated basis.
  • Assist with providing technical support for new builds and system upgrades, in cooperation with the Engineering and Systems Integration teams.
  • Track NEP broadcast equipment inventory, lifecycle, and spare parts.
