About The Position

The Brokerage and Insurance Sales Representative is responsible for processing and cross-selling brokerage and insurance products while delivering exceptional sales and service support to members, the front-line sales team, and Logix Financial Consultants.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of banking, financial services, brokerage services or insurance experience.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of office products.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to quickly grasp insurance laws and regulations while keeping continually abreast of new changes is a must.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses to be achieved based on timeline directed by management, if applicable.
  • CA Life license and/or property/casualty license to be achieved based on timeline directed by management, if applicable.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Life license and/or property/casualty license preferred.
  • Brokerage and Insurance product processing is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the highest quality member service in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Provide comprehensive sales and service support to internal and external customers, resolving complex matters promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain expertise in credit union insurance products (GAP, MMP, Debt/Cancellation, CPI Franklin Madison products) and the Property & Casualty program; identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Cross-sell additional Credit Union products and services when appropriate.
  • Assist the Brokerage & Insurance Management team with evaluating, developing, and analyzing new insurance products to support revenue growth.
  • Support administration and billing of departmental insurance products.
  • Contact insurance carriers to verify vehicle loan coverage, obtain documentation, and update Logix and vendor databases as needed.
  • Reconcile brokerage and insurance general ledgers and prepare related reporting.
  • Partner with Marketing to execute campaigns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Act as a liaison with vendor partners, ensuring all information, documentation, and databases remain current.
  • Stay current on industry trends, compliance requirements, and continuing education to support effective department management and member service.
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental and individual goals.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory laws and guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Maintain reliable and punctual attendance, consistently reporting to work as scheduled.
