About The Position

We’re searching for a sharp, driven BSA Risk Specialist to strengthen our compliance and risk management efforts as we uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. The BSA Specialist ensures the credit union’s full compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all anti–money laundering regulations. This role oversees the BSA program, monitors adherence to applicable laws, and identifies, investigates, and reports suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of related experience in compliance, financial services, or a similar field.
  • Two‑year college degree or equivalent job‑specific skills gained through hands‑on training or apprenticeship
  • A strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, members, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit required BSA/AML reports, including CTRs, SARs, 314(a) requests, 311 Special Measures reports, and OFAC blocking/freezing reports; identify and report suspicious activity to FinCEN.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all BSA/AML regulations, supporting regulatory exams, internal audits, and corrective action processes.
  • Deliver BSA/AML training to staff, ensuring strong attendance, engagement, and program effectiveness.
  • Support and maintain the credit union’s BSA/AML risk assessment program, ensuring comprehensive analysis and actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure BSA/AML compliance; perform periodic member due diligence reviews and verify required documentation is complete.
