About the position

CAS is currently seeking a Product Owner for our Product Management Team. This position will be located in our Columbus, OH headquarters. As a member of the Product Management team, you will work closely with product managers, UX team, other product owners, and technology partners. You will be responsible for creating clear and measurable product requirements, making data-driven prioritization recommendations, and understanding practical trade-offs between implementation and functionality. You will also manage the development and launch of new features and functionality through the entire product development lifecycle process from concept through implementation and release.

Responsibilities

  • Document clear and measurable product requirements and make data-driven prioritization recommendations.
  • Create detailed product specifications using written requirements, business rules, process flows, and use cases.
  • Prioritize and sequence product features and stories to meet market demands.
  • Develop compelling and actionable product roadmap in collaboration with product managers and technology partners.
  • Manage the development and launch of new features and functionality through the entire product development lifecycle process.
  • Monitor key product analytics to inform development priorities and establish effective relationships with customers and thought leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field with a record of strong academic achievement.
  • Over 7 years of progressive professional experience, including an average of 3 years relevant work experience as a product owner, in product management, project management, or technology roles.
  • Experience with professional information tools, workflow software solutions, and technology-enabled products and services.
  • Experience in the Chemistry and/or IP industry is a bonus.
  • Experience in working in an Agile and/or Kanban setup.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of ROI and ability to apply it as a decision-making tool.
  • Demonstrated experience in working successfully with development teams and stakeholders.
