You will assemble custom sheet metal products or subassemblies for modular scientific laboratories.

Requirements

• Ability to use and read a measuring tape accurately.
• Working knowledge of precise construction or assembly procedures.
• Knowledge of general safety principles in a Shop environment.
• Professional manner
• Ability to operate basic hand and power tools, as well as a hand jack
• Good oral communication skills
• Basic reading and comprehension skills; ability to write legibly
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Detail and quality-results-oriented
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to use and read measuring instruments accurately in both U.S. Standard and Metric
• Awareness of general safety principles in a Shop environment
• Reliable transportation to work

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and/or subassemblies according to verbal instructions and Engineering drawings
• Operate hand and power tools as required and in accordance with general safety principles.
• Confer with Supervisor about variances
• Crosstrain with other areas as requested
• Assist in other areas of Production as requested
• Participate in Quality and Safety functions pertaining to Production
• Other reasonably related duties
