About The Position

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. As the final point of contact between the factory and our customer, this role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living. The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Manufacturing dept.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read paperwork and or labels.
  • Must be proficient in reading a tape measure.
  • Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter who works well and can follow a list of daily work assignments.
  • Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.
  • Must be team oriented, interactive, and possess strong communication skills.
  • Ability to move product within 40-50 seconds.
  • Requires good hand/eye coordination.
  • Must know how to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

  • Must have good hand and eye coordination.
  • Will be required to learn and perform different tasks.
  • Must understand the differences in the fasteners, screws, staples, etc. required to build.
  • Must be proficient in using various hand tools (drill gun, staple gun, glue gun, etc.).
  • Will be required to learn a variety of paint and or stain colors and/or wood species depending on the department.
  • Installs shelves in wall cabinets.
  • Installs toe kick clips in all base/vanity cabinets correctly.
  • Installs toe kicks in all base/vanity cabinets correctly.
  • Completes end panel braces.
  • Helps other teammates to ensure the assembly line is running and help keep the line moving.
