Job SummaryJob Summary: Working as the Building and HVAC Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supplying prevenatative maintenance and repair on the HVAC systems at the University of South Florida. Provide management support through to the maintenance techs and vendors while providing a high level of customer service and program implementations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree preferred in Management Facilities
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in either custodial, maintenance or grounds
  • Troubleshooting and repair knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications.

Responsibilities

  • Installs the standard programs utilizing best practices in HVAC
  • Takes the initiative in installing those programs required to manage the unit they are assigned.
  • Trains account personnel in proper troubleshootin and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Schedules preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Interfaces with departments to provide project status updates and follow through on repairs
  • Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.
  • Prepares locally customized operating unit policies and operating programs and procedures for compliance with facilities management best practices, company standards, customer contract requirements, and regulatory standards.
