About The Position

Building & Facilities Maintenance Technician | Harpoon Brewery | Boston, MA Are you someone who takes pride in fixing, building, and keeping things running the right way? At Harpoon Brewery, we're looking for a Building & Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain the backbone of our operation - from the brewery floor to the spaces our guests experience every day. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work. One day you may be repairing plumbing or handling a facility improvement project, the next you're supporting utilities, maintaining building systems, or helping keep production moving smoothly. If you're hands-on, reliable, and enjoy solving problems in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of building or facilities maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, HVAC, utilities, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification within 3 months
  • Ability to obtain Special Boiler License within 1 year
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical labor regularly
  • Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and around active equipment
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and manual work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus
  • Refrigerant certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements across the brewery
  • Maintain and repair plumbing, lighting, HVAC support systems, and general infrastructure
  • Support operation and upkeep of key utility systems including steam, wastewater, CO₂, and compressed air
  • Complete daily facility checks to ensure systems are running safely and efficiently
  • Assist with projects such as drywall, painting, carpentry, and general construction
  • Support maintenance team with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment-related projects
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces and ensure tools and materials are properly stored
  • Follow all safety protocols and support compliance with environmental and safety standards
