DESCRIPTION: Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Skilled Trades Professional II, where you'll contribute to global healthcare and scientific advancement. In this role, you'll support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating specialized equipment. You'll work with advanced machinery, performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and quality control procedures while ensuring compliance with GMP standards and safety protocols. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 year of maintenance or manufacturing experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and measurements
  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance procedures
  • Experience with GMP and SOPs in manufacturing environments
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Commitment to safety procedures and protocols
  • Willingness to handle chemicals and work in industrial environments
  • Valid vision test certification (renewed every two years)
