About The Position

The Building Materials Sales Rep is responsible for all sales associated with the companies Building Supply and Materials businesses. The employee will also be responsible for transporting and properly unloading materials to and from various locations to service residential and commercial clients.

Requirements

  • 2 years of Sales experience required
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all outside and inside sales with all of Adams Brothers Concrete Products. and will also include a general knowledge of all possible sales and services that are provided by all our Zemba Companies’ different services and capabilities.
  • Achieve sales goals for assigned territory using the tools and direction given through training, management and experience; continuously analyze sales data to ensure goals are being met on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Will be required and responsible to present past and future sales forecasts for Adams Brothers Concrete Products with direction from his/her direct report.
  • Identify and implement promotional marketing ideas to assist in meeting/exceeding sales goals to include assisting with development of marketing materials such as catalogs, order forms, posters and website
  • Provide, develop, and maintain relationships with both new and existing customer bases.
  • Reviewing bid documents and specifications and preparing quotes based off these items with final review based upon senior management.
  • Will be responsible to maintain, and track inventories associated with our Building Supply business.
  • Process, transmit and run credit card and cash transactions for customer sales and refunds. While also arranging cash sales for delivery to the Accounting Department.
  • Ability to differentiate between aggregates, grades, sizes, and textures of materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness of showroom, overflow area, and stockroom. Keeping the area stocked and organized.
  • Identify any safety hazards in all areas.
  • Works together with the Concrete Sales team on any upcoming projects and assists when needed with the Concrete Sales/QC teams.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections then communicate and define deficiencies to shop immediately.
  • Report improper operation, faulty equipment and unusual conditions to the Maintenance Manager utilizing the proper vehicle inspection report paperwork.
  • Properly complete daily THA reports.
  • Properly operate skid-steer to offload merchandise from delivery trucks.
  • Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive and assist in additional instructions and changes to work locations, site conditions, weather, etc.
  • Answer incoming calls when necessary to maintain customer service.
  • Maintains cognitive awareness of immediate surroundings, ensuring that power lines, trees, soft ground conditions and ingress/egress locations are accounted for as maneuvering and unloading of materials in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that all Company personnel follow any and all safety procedures and processes including the proper use of safety equipment.
  • Maintains truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Answer calls after hours and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to carry 50+ lbs.
  • All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to light yard duties.
