About The Position

Cartier North America is seeking a dynamic, organized, self-starter to join our Facilities Team as a Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the overall repairs and preventative maintenance services within a region. Job mission Overview: The RNA Engineering and Maintenance department directly implements facilities objectives for Richemont’s NY corporate locations as well as Cartier’s flagship and NYC boutiques. Position Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the NYC corporate locations. This includes all electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing; and carpentry issues.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and organized.
  • Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair, making recommendations to resolve.
  • Performing minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair for fixtures (wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
  • Performing minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
  • Reconfiguring, installing, positioning and remounting furniture, lighting, file cabinets, etc. to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.
  • Plastering and painting of walls, doors, offices etc. as needed.
  • Ordering parts and maintaining required documents.
  • Ability to cover shifts for other team members and other company projects as needed weekends and nights included.
  • Performing other work-related duties as needed.
