Building Services Technician

About The Position

We are seeking a Building Services Technician to provide skilled and preventative maintenance for the community buildings, operating systems machinery; ensure grounds are maintained in good condition and safe working order through preventative maintenance and timely follow-up. We have a full-time, first shift opportunity available. Weekends and holiday availability required

Requirements

5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in Senior Living
Working knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems; knowledge of HVAC systems a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet, and Outlook.
Ability to learn work order system
Painting background

Responsibilities

Timely completion of routine repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders throughout the community.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
Maintain the overall appearance of the property by painting common areas and apartments at turnover and as needed.
Assist with maintenance of fire, life safety systems and equipment; respond to emergencies according to Mather policies and procedures.
Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including grounds clean-up, snow removal and salting, maintain light fixtures.
Perform/Assist in unlocks, room set-ups/tear downs, receiving/delivery of packages.
Monitor the community through regular tours to ensure safety and security of residents, guests, and staff.
Responds to emergency situations.
