About The Position

We are seeking a Building Services Technician to provide skilled and preventative maintenance for the community buildings, operating systems machinery; ensure grounds are maintained in good condition and safe working order through preventative maintenance and timely follow-up. We have a full-time, first shift opportunity available. Weekends and holiday availability required

Requirements

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in Senior Living
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems; knowledge of HVAC systems a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn work order system
  • Painting background

Responsibilities

  • Timely completion of routine repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders throughout the community.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of the property by painting common areas and apartments at turnover and as needed.
  • Assist with maintenance of fire, life safety systems and equipment; respond to emergencies according to Mather policies and procedures.
  • Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including grounds clean-up, snow removal and salting, maintain light fixtures.
  • Perform/Assist in unlocks, room set-ups/tear downs, receiving/delivery of packages.
  • Monitor the community through regular tours to ensure safety and security of residents, guests, and staff.
  • Responds to emergency situations.
