SANY is excited to announce the opening of a Full-Time Substitute Teacher at the Syracuse Academy of Science High School for the 2026-2027 academic year!

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience preferred and novice teachers welcome!

Responsibilities

• Follow the lesson plan provided by the classroom teacher
• Maintain appropriate records such as attendance and grades as directed by the classroom teacher
• Establish and maintain order in the classroom
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning
• Take all reasonable precautions to protect the safety and security of students, materials, equipment, and facilities
• Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules and administrative regulations
