About The Position

The Luce Elementary School is seeking an exceptional and dynamic candidate to serve as a Permanent Building Substitute from early February to Mid-May . The Permanent Building Substitute will join a vibrant and supportive team that places a high priority on collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and commitment to the goals of the District and to our students, families and staff. The Luce Elementary School is an inclusive community for all students and staff and serve over 500 students students in grades K-5 The Luce Elementary School is elevating the educational experience for our students by cultivating a school culture and climate that promotes academic growth and social emotional learning for every student, and ensures high quality teaching and learning through the purposeful design of rigorous and equitable student experiences. We are eager to find the next member of our team who collaborates with other educators to create the conditions necessary so that every child experiences the true joy of learning, the excitement of achievement, areas of passion, and an authentic sense of belonging in their school. JOB SUMMARY To provide instructional and supervisory support to students. The Permanent Building Substitute is a full-time position from early-February to Mid-May that mains purposes is to fill in for educational or instructional position with the school as needed by the building administration. This positions is an integral part of the successful day-to-day operations of building and support the entire school community.

Requirements

• High School degree required, Bachelors preferred
• Teaching degree preferred
• Recent experience working with school-age children
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Other requirements as deemed necessary by the Superintendent of Schools

Responsibilities

• Fill in as a classroom teacher, educational assistant or support personnel with the school building as assigned by the building principal
• Support the school, staff and students
• Be a positive and collaborative member of the school community
• Flexibility and patience are key to success in this role
