About The Position

Pritchard Industries is seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Supervisor / Foreman to join our team. The Building Supervisor / Foreman will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Account. This position will require an individual skilled at a variety of repair and maintenance tasks. Will ensure the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. Will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. Self-motivated and trustworthy. Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
  • FDNY - Certificates of Fitness (S95, S12, and S13) or be in the process of obtaining.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operations of the school facility, the administration of tasks, and coordination of school event set-ups and breakdowns.
  • Train, supervise, direct and support the activities of the Custodial crew, Handymen.
  • This is a working supervisor / foreperson position (i.e., a lead Cleaner / lead Handyman), possessing the ability to delegate tasks as well as carry out their own.
  • The Supervisor / Foreperson will at times be required to carry out the job descriptions detailed for a Cleaner, Handyperson / Engineer.
  • The Supervisor / Foreperson must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with management while providing support and team leadership for special events.
  • The Supervisor / Foreperson shall notify the Project Manager, Assistant Manager, and/or the school’s Director of Buildings, Grounds, and Security (or his designee) in the event of any emergency, and must be able to respond appropriately should critical situations arise.
  • The Supervisor / Foreperson shall maintain an operations log for review and comment by the Project Manager, or Assistant Manager. The operations log will include all work assignments to ensure all delegated work is performed in a timely manner.
  • Supervise staff and divide responsibilities to ensure performance.
  • Track stocks of janitorial supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Coordinate facility activities, work orders and operations tasks to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain locally kept records, including employee work schedules and accompanying work orders.
  • Coordinate event setup and breakdown.
