About The Position

Overview Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role is primarily responsible for working in coordination with the Safety and Maintenance Departments to maintain the organization and cleanliness of the facility (inside/outside).

Requirements

• High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent.
• Ability to drive improvement in the manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work with supervisory staff to help create a safe and well organized work area.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate work with other departments.

Nice To Haves

• Previous building and grounds experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the inside/outside appearance of the building and grounds. (Outside duties limited to minor snow cleanup, fenced yard organization, etc.)
• Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work.
• Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve maintenance/safety issues.
• Use of general maintenance tools as needed to complete required tasks/repairs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Participate in equipment preventative maintenance.
• Lead 6S projects that include general safety/housekeeping tasks: setup/tear down of racking, painting identified walkways, organizing tools/work areas, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
