Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
Ability to pass Federal DOT drug screen and physical.
Valid DOT Health Card.
Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and meet company requirements.
Maintain Department of Transportation Health Card and have in possession when on duty.

Responsibilities

Drive truck to deliver cement products to various concrete plants and bagging facilities.
Pre-trip inspection of tractor-trailer pursuant to DOT regulations.
Pre-trip inspection includes checking fluid levels of engine oil, antifreeze, tire pressure, brakes and other driver operated controls for loading and unloading dry bulk cement products.
Communicate with Dispatcher to receive delivery instructions.
Upon arriving at a delivery site, the driver must communicate the transport contents and take instruction from the plant operator as to the location of the correct unloading pipe.
At the completion of each day, turn in all appropriate paperwork.
Drivers are required to do a post-trip inspection of tractor-trailer pursuant to DOT regulations.
Must be able to take orders, instructions and guidance from management and supervisors.
Must safely operate truck and trailer, performing tasks that follow company policy and within state and federal laws.
