How You’ll Make an Impact Our Material Handlers, are responsible for loading, unloading, and handling all shipping, receiving, and storage activities within the warehouse. This role manages bulk raw materials, finished materials, and packaged goods to ensure accurate and efficient movement of products throughout the facility. In this role, you will: Operate tow motor and pickers. Remove, scan, label and put away drums, bag stock and freight from trucks. Use tow motor computers and scanners to pick orders. Data entry for receipts Occasionally stage drums for package shipments and load containers Learn DOT/IMDG hazardous material regulations. Learn DOT/ICAO hazardous material regulations. Learn air shipping regulations and requirements. Pick and prepare orders for raw materials in receiving for use in production. Perform safety inspections of area and equipment. Properly record safety inspections. Ability to write maintenance orders for equipment and area repairs. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, instruments, storage areas, walkways, and roadways utilizing various equipment to ensure compliance with safety requirements. Collaborate with other operators to develop ‘best practices’ across the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment using a tow motor.
  • Experience calculating fractions and percentages.
  • Experience with forklift and drum handling equipment.
  • Must be able to wear a full-face respirator.
  • Computer skills with MS Office applications, SAP, or other data entry and documentation applications are a plus.
  • BS Chemical Engineering Degree
  • 4+ years of Chemical Manufacturing Experience
  • Experience with Cross functional teams in new product development, technology transfer, process improvement and general operations.
  • Experience with statistical process control and statistical techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ as chemical operator experience, bulk chemical material handler or chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
