Ride buses and help driver ensure safe and orderly transportation of students.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate
  • Ability to operate safety equipment and adaptive
  • Ability to work well with children with
  • Working knowledge of wheelchair lifts, ramps, locks, and special needs adaptive
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education
  • Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to write and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to perform basic math operations.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Occasional absences are understood but regular attendance is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, frequent walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling is required.
  • Moderate lifting and carrying is required.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must maintain emotional control under stress.
