They may also be required to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking the oil, fuel levels, and tire pressure, and notifying management of any major maintenance needs. They must follow traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations Ensures compliance with company and customer safety policies. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
- Education – no minimum education requirements.
- Experience – 4 years of maintenance and construction driving
- Certification/License : A Valid Driver's License/CDL license with passenger endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Being attentive to traffic and weather conditions and ensuring passenger safety.
- Following the planned route and schedule for departure times and stops.
- Regularly checking vehicle safety such as tires, brakes, turn signals, mechanical equipment, etc.
- Monitoring and reporting fuel consumption, mileage, and passenger numbers.
- Reporting delays, accidents, and emergencies.
- Inspecting the vehicle thoroughly before and after each trip.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of the bus when required
- Maintaining a clean vehicle.
- Other duties as assigned.
