About The Position

The Business & Accounting Manager is a multi-faceted role that is highly interactive working with multiple departments and all levels of staff. The Business & Accounting Manager will perform a core role of responsibilities but will be cross trained in multiple disciplines to provide additional added value to the team. This Manager will work with teams regularly to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals as defined by the team, leaders, and business. The Business & Accounting Manager will receive direction from multiple leaders within the organization on a regular basis. It is critical that the person has an innate ability to be highly functional within multiple teams simultaneously. The role will be highly engaged in maintaining operational excellence while working closely with the Director of Business & Accounting, as well as other executive leadership team members. Leadership & Development Work closely with Accounting and Office Team to set priorities, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities for assigned direct reports Ensure all defined accounting and office support level requirements are met daily, weekly, and monthly and report all results to the Director of Business & Accounting. Ability to present and articulate data to peers and the management teams Provide daily oversight to ensure all department’s accounting and office needs are addressed and resolved timely Ability to solidify retention by advancing junior team members to advanced level roles Demonstrate flexibility and an ability to respond and implement process changes Participate in Team Member selection, hiring, promotion and progressive discipline Work closely with the Director of Business & Accounting in the development and implementation of process engineering Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate workable solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization Assist in KPI development and deployment. Provide continual support to ensure KPI’s are being achieved and provide solutions to problematic areas of concern. Accounting: Mentor and support AR, AP, and PO functions and team members Resolve escalated accounting issues Responsible for scheduling check runs, credit card reconciliations, and accounting deadlines Manage month end reporting and monthly audits Maintain confidential client and vendor correspondence Process sales tax reporting and submissions Support and execute ad-hoc projects as needed Office: Responsible for overall organization and upkeep of office equipment and supplies Manage confidential correspondence pertaining to accidents and incidents for the company Ability to process and execute correspondence relating to clients, vendors, states, counties, cities, and other business-related needs. Manage technical support requests for office Demonstrate flexibility and an ability to respond timely and effectively to team members, management, and external parties Backup phone support Sales Support: Support sales team with setting up new clients, maintaining and updating existing clients. Requirements

  • Demonstrated a high level of confidentiality and unbiased decision-making

  • Must possess high-level accuracy, initiation, follow-up, and ingenuity.
  • Must demonstrate a proven aptitude in navigating and manipulating various technology-based applications to include but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, TMW, ACT, ADP
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email, and written means.
  • Experience and aptitude toward exceptional support and service to employees, management, and external parties
  • Intermediate skills with computer applications (ADP, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Speak, listen, and write in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
  • Must be able to multi-task while ensuring follow up and execution of required tasks
  • High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a high energy individual with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Responsible and reliable to handle/manage company’s assigned items, including but not limited to company credit card
