About The Position

The Business Analyst will serve as support to the VP of Strategy & Corporate Development, playing a key role in executing strategic projects, acquisition integration, business development, and corporate initiatives. In this capacity, the analyst will coordinate cross-functional efforts, perform research and analysis, and develop strategic objectives into actionable plans. The role is tailored to complement the VP’s priorities, ensuring that ongoing projects and new initiatives are managed effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, or Information Technology.
  • Minimum two years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the Aviation AEC sector.
  • Understanding of AEC workflows, including project management, resource scheduling, and billing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. The candidate must be proficient in quantitative analysis, able to build and interpret Excel models, and analyze data trends. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Ability to understand the “big picture” of the company’s strategy and to break down broad goals into actionable plans. Familiarity with strategic planning, market research, and competitive analysis techniques is important.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple work streams simultaneously. The candidate should be capable of creating project plans, managing deadlines, and coordinating teams, ensuring initiatives stay on schedule.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. The analyst must be able to craft clear reports and presentations for senior audience (e.g. Board of Directors) and to communicate effectively in meetings. Experience with presentation tools (PowerPoint) and writing executive summaries is expected.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. This role interacts with many teams (e.g. Finance, HR, IT, Operations, external partners), so being a team player who can build relationships is key.
  • A self-starter attitude, able to take initiative in driving tasks to completion, ask insightful questions, and adapt to new challenges or project areas. The “special projects” aspect means the person should be eager to learn and tackle varied assignments.
  • High degree of professional integrity and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly. Many corporate development activities (like M&A discussions or strategic plans) require confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience project management tools or data visualization software.
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation (Visio).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis to support corporate development initiatives. Gather intelligence on industry trends, competitors, and potential acquisition targets to inform the company’s growth strategy.
  • Assist in post-acquisition integration of newly acquired companies. Coordinate integration plans and day-to-day tasks across the organization to ensure the operations, people, and processes are seamlessly integrated with the parent company.
  • Participate in strategic planning and new service development with acquired companies to drive growth within the BNP Group.
  • Assist with internal strategy reviews on expanding services and markets. Prepare business cases for strategic decisions and enable data-driven insights to guide negotiations or executive discussions.
  • Provide hands-on support in Business Development activities to fuel growth. Identify and pursue new client opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
  • Drive special corporate projects and strategic initiatives, take on a project management role – setting timelines, aligning stakeholders, tracking progress on tasks – as well as perform any analysis needed.
  • Prepare pitch decks or background research for meetings with prospective partners/clients, follow up on action items from business development meetings and events, and opportunity tracking with CRM.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and communications for senior executives and external stakeholders. Translate project updates and analyses into clear, concise presentations. Handle internal communications related to strategic projects.
  • Evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement including automation opportunities, and develop and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with SMEs across the BNP Group to curate and develop thought leadership content such as whitepapers and other publications.
