As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you’ll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer. As the Business Analyst – Portfolio Management, you’re a key driver in the Healthcare Market Division’s strategy. You’ll turn market signals and data into the choices that matter which product categories to prioritize, what to launch or expand upon, and how to win across acute and non‑acute segments. Your dashboards, scenarios, insights, and recommendations will be leveraged by portfolio leaders and division leadership in the strategic planning process. The work you do will shift the portfolio mix toward higher‑margin offerings (e.g., Private Label), accelerate third-party partner growth, and unlock cross‑portfolio synergies through cross-division alignment—directly impacting revenue growth, gross margin, and customer retention. Set direction - help shape the portfolio strategy and portfolio roadmap for the division. Support new product introductions by analyzing market fit and forecasting demand. Conduct competitive benchmarking to ensure Fisher Scientific’s portfolio remains differentiated and competitive. Move the needle: design and measure Focus Initiatives/Sales Blitz programs that create pipelines and lift win rates. Executive visibility: present insights that inform decisions on category focus, resource allocation, and product roadmaps. Portfolio strategy: size markets (TAM/SAM/SOM), map white space, prioritize categories, and recommend expansion/exit plays tied to ROI. Focus Initiatives & Sales Blitz: own hypothesis design, targeting, funnel diagnostics, and scale-up plans to increase follow‑up and conversion. Growth business cases: develop scenarios for new offerings, Private Label expansion, and third‑party partners; partner with Finance on pro formas. Decision engines: build and maintain executive‑ready Power BI dashboards that drive STRAP, QBRs, and monthly reviews; reduce manual reporting. Cross‑functional orchestration: be the connective tissue across Commercial, Portfolio Management, Finance, and Market Development—turn insights into action with clear owners, OKRs, and timelines. Enablement: deliver tools, playbooks, and training for frontline teams (e.g., PL alternatives tables, gap/contract compliance analyses). Governance & outcomes: define metrics (e.g., pipeline, win rate, mix, program revenue) and lead a cadence to track, learn, and iterate.
