Requirements

  • 5–10 years of Business Analyst experience in large, matrixed enterprise environments
  • Working understanding of the unique requirements for high transaction volume systems (billing, trading, payment, ecommerce)
  • Strong documentation skills—use cases, BRDs, FSDs, process flows, data maps
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical deliverables
  • Hands-on experience supporting QA teams and UAT execution
  • Ability to work across business, technical, and vendor teams with confidence
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with tools such as Excel, Visio, Jira, Confluence, and basic SQL
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in regulated industries (utilities, finance, insurance, healthcare)
  • Background working with COTS or vendor-driven system implementations
  • Exposure to Agile environments—even if most of your experience is Waterfall
  • Process improvement accomplishments (standards developed, cycle reductions, workflow efficiencies)

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering for functional and non‑functional needs across multiple business units
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, BRDs, FSDs, and supporting artifacts
  • Document process flows, data mapping, use cases, and other analysis deliverables
  • Collaborate with QA teams to map requirements into test cases and support UAT activities
  • Partner with developers and architects to ensure clarity, alignment, and feasibility of requirements
  • Coordinate with vendors for COTS system integrations, enhancements, or testing
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions
  • Support governance activities in a structured Waterfall project environment
  • Drive improvements in documentation standards, workflows, and communication practices
