We are hiring a Business Analyst Contractor to support supply chain analytics, KPI validation, and reporting. The role requires advanced SQL skills, dashboard development experience, and working knowledge of data engineering fundamentals. This position contributes to building scalable data foundations that support operational and financial decision-making. Structured documentation in Confluence—including KPI definitions, data lineage, and transformation logic—is a core component of the role. The ideal candidate can execute technical analysis while maintaining disciplined documentation and data governance standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business analytics, supply chain analytics, or operations reporting.
  • Exposure to ERP, TMS, or warehouse management systems.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency (multi-table joins, aggregations, window functions, CTEs).
  • Experience developing production dashboards (Domo strongly preferred).
  • Experience documenting KPIs and data logic in Confluence or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling concepts (fact/dimension tables, grain, keys).
  • Strong analytical rigor and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently in a distributed, multi-time-zone environment.
  • Strong SQL execution and data validation skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate with limited oversight.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and global stakeholders.
  • Understands end-to-end data flow from source systems to reporting.
  • Clear, concise communicator with a detail-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
  • Experience validating or integrating third-party data feeds.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for KPI calculation and supply chain reporting.
  • Build reusable datasets aligned to defined business grain and aggregation standards.
  • Document KPI definitions, transformation logic, and data lineage in Confluence.
  • Design and maintain dashboards in Domo (preferred/current platform); experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is also relevant.
  • Develop proof-of-concept (POC) dashboards to evaluate new metrics and reporting approaches.
  • Reconcile internal datasets with third-party provider data; identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with data engineering to validate pipelines, transformations, and data models.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on data quality and reporting issues.
