Acts as the business architect for assigned business lines and product delivery teams, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technology solutions within the product operating framework. Partners with the Technology Line of Business Lead, Product Security Leader, and Business Unit Risk Manager (BURM) to translate business strategy, capabilities, and operating model requirements into prioritized delivery artifacts. Drives Technology Review Board gate approvals by ensuring initiatives are aligned to target-state business architecture, value realization objectives, and enterprise standards. This role is accountable for eliciting, documenting, and managing business architecture artifacts including business capabilities, value streams, business processes, and requirements; decomposing these into epics, features, and user stories that align with product and platform roadmaps. Facilitates cross-stakeholder alignment to ensure business process design, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness are embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. Acts as a business advocate and architectural steward, ensuring technology deliveries measure business outcomes while maintaining risk, compliance, and governance integrity. Pay Range: $211,973 - 234,971 - 260,292 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Lead architectural discovery and requirements definition by partnering with business and technology stakeholders to define business objectives, scope, success criteria, and develop business case justifications for technology initiatives. Own the decomposition of business architecture into epics, features, and user stories, ensuring alignment with target-state architecture, non-functional requirements, and platform standards; collaborate with Tech Leads and SRE teams during sprint planning, backlog prioritization, refinement, and release planning. Prepare, maintain, and present Technology Review Board (TRB) artifacts, including Initial Design Review business justification, Production Release Review documentation, and Major Architecture Modification impact assessments to support architectural governance and decision-making. Develop and maintain architecture-aligned documentation including business and system process flows, BRDs, FRDs, logical and physical architecture views, integration diagrams, and supporting user documentation and training materials. Partner with the Product Security Leader to define security architecture requirements, document application data flows, contribute to threat modeling, and ensure implementation of application-specific security and privacy controls. Collaborate with the Business Unit Risk Manager (BURM) to assess regulatory and compliance impacts on solution architecture, contribute to risk registers, and support control design and audit evidence for architectural controls. Define and validate architectural non-functional requirements including SLAs, SLOs, resiliency, performance, and availability; coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and lead post-implementation architectural reviews to confirm alignment with target-state outcomes. Define vendor and third-party architectural requirements, including integration patterns and SLA expectations; support vendor onboarding, architecture alignment reviews, and business change management activities including training and adoption planning.
