About The Position

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking a Business Associate for the Group & Benefits Configuration Team. This Business Associate will perform all the duties necessary to ensure quality customer service for policy and certificate holders, brokers, and other stakeholders. The basis for achieving quality customer service is consistency in maintaining departmental performance standards for quality and service in the administration of policy issue, implementation, quality review, group and member enrollments, and any related activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • 0 to 1 years of experience required
  • Communication skills, including Listening
  • Personal Effectiveness, including Attention to Detail, Flexibility, Time Management and Organization/Planning
  • Interpersonal skills, including Collaboration, Teamwork and Service Organization
  • Information Technology skills, including Computer Applications

Responsibilities

  • Member Enrollments Enroll members within timing and quality standards
  • Member Changes Process member-level changes, including name changes, address changes, reinstatements, class changes, tier changes, and any other changes that may be necessary to accurately reflect enrollment (all changes must be completed within timing and quality standards)
  • Policy Documents Create policy documents for new and renewing policy holders within timing and quality standards
  • Policy Implementation Implement group set-ups in the administration system within timing and quality standards
  • Review Perform quality, peer review of group implementations within timing and quality standards
  • Other Assist departmental leadership with document management, including imaging and retention; assist with other tasks, special assignments, and projects, as needed; maintain data accuracy equal to or greater than 97% in all tasks; and, complete 97% of all tasks and assignments within departmental timing standards Assist with review of daily reports to maintain the accuracy and integrity of system data, and take corrective action as required
