About The Position

This position is responsible for managing the marketing communications and channel strategy and execution of comprehensive communications plans across initiatives that affect health care providers and internal provider-facing teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications.
  • 7+ years in of marketing or communications experience.
  • Experience with the provider audience.
  • Creativity and the willingness to bring new ideas to the Provider space.
  • Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to connect people and bring resources together to get things done.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong peer and leader relationship management skills to foster collaboration, value others’ perspectives, negotiate, influence, and gain support and buy-in.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

  • Assess core initiatives that affect providers, outlining communication dependencies, risks, mitigation options, tactics, timelines, resources, and costs.
  • Participates in project meetings as a provider marketing and communication subject matter expert.
  • Advises and works alongside key matrix partners to build optimal provider-focused messaging, content and channel strategies.
  • Creates marketing playbooks for channel engagement as appropriate.
  • Understands emerging technologies and the opportunities they provide to enhance communications processes and best practices.
  • Leans toward newer or less leveraged channels as appropriate to test and learn new placement opportunities and dynamic new ways of engaging providers.
  • Supports partners in the development of internal and external marketing communication strategies, plans, and tactics in support of critical projects and initiatives.
  • Supports team in planning a wide variety of communications to build provider value through transparency, point of view and reaching providers where they are.
  • Maintains understanding of business/program goals, objectives, impacts, and processes to offer unique provider communication and marketing solutions that plug in at the right time and the right place to impact change.
  • Partners with content strategy team to ensure communications and materials are consistent with the Cigna text standards, brand, and meet national and state legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with the cross-audience communication teams to build integrated communications journeys.
  • Collaborates with internal partners to ensure communication development objectives are met and tie back to overall project goals, provider adoption goals, and organizational goals.
  • Consults on review of a wide range of communications to ensure adherence to channel best practices and content and message alignment.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Monitors and evaluate results to adjust and change course as needed and suggest improvements and enhancements related to flow of information.
  • Identify areas where we can better optimize the medium of delivery (letter to email, in person to video) and support the team on strategic transition.
  • Attend provider listening sessions as appropriate.
  • Explore potential moments of provider goodwill and how to craft an engaging story to surround (doctor’s day, nurse’s week).
  • Performs other duties as assigned or identified.
