About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Developer to join our team. As a Business Developer, you will identify new commercial landscape maintenance clients, generate qualified leads, and sell Commercial Landscape Maintenance contracts, includes Marketing and building CDI’s brand. This is a key role within our organization, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our growth. HOURS: Monday through Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional after-hours board meetings. Schedule may fluctuate based on client needs, and after hour networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid drivers License and be able to meet and maintain CDI’s driver requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Commercial Landscape Maintenance
  • Detailed knowledge of local market conditions, and the business decision makers.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans with a proven ability to execute in a rapid-growth organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies new clients through researching industry professionals, attending relate events, publications, networking with potential new clients, marketing CDI and Nature’s workforce, building professional trust-based relationships, and generating new qualified leads.
  • Locates potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities, marketing and selling CDI brand.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market trends, deal requirements, client budgets, and potential for ancillary work such as snow, irrigation, and enhancements.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
