About The Position

The Business Development & Broker Relations Director (BDD) is tasked to generate new broker associates across the nation by leading the effort to identify and vet new brokers and help to maintain/grow existing partners. Further, the position is the lead to handling all broker inquiries and transmit broker performance data/feedback. Secondary duties include managing CHB’s marketing and promotions activities to identify and institute new programs, tools, and/or methods to increase financing market share. The BDD aids selling repossessed equipment located at CHB not slated for auction or abandonment. The BDD serves on Loan Committee as needed and is a member of the CHB Management Team. Effective coordination and communication with corporate personnel and within CHB is essential. The BDD researches and reports industry trends, uses that info to help identify and set CHB goals, and helps create plans to achieve those goals. Local, regional, and national travel 4-6 times annually is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, marketing, finance, communications or other relevant field; or, an acceptable equivalent of three years full-time work experience in a marketing/sales/promotions position, or 2+ years of credit/underwriter experience.
  • Three years of successful program management experience in business, preferably in the commercial lending, banking, or finance industry
  • One year of successful vehicle or equipment sales experience, preferably in transportation, construction and Ag
  • Highly motivated and initiative laden self-starter is an absolute must
  • Basic knowledge of transportation, construction, and agricultural equipment, and over the road truck and industrial machinery or the willingness to learn
  • Working knowledge of credit analysis
  • Effective oral and written communication; polished interpersonal rapport; excellent phone and in-person etiquette
  • Strong keyboarding/typing and computer skills; data accuracy is a must
  • Proven aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships
  • Demonstrated competency in…personal leadership, decision-making, dependability, prioritizing, safety, evaluation skills, problem-solving, sales/selling/promoting, collaboration and teamwork, and time management

  • Maintain privacy of customer data and confidentiality of CHB data/sensitive information
  • Travel up to 25% within the USA is required to include overnight visits and regional day trips.

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and manage successful promotional/marketing plans and related campaigns in various mediums designed to attain or surpass targets
  • Coordinate, communicate, and meet with existing CHB brokers across the nation to identify/develop new business opportunities; help maintain business volume expectations
  • Aid the process to sell repossessed equipment and consignment items located at CHB
  • Manage and direct the broker vetting process and tools; submit apps for review/approval and ensure Broker Lists are current and accurate; report updates to ensure apps tools accuracy
  • Network effectively and visit brokers to establish new partnerships and sources for loans/leases
  • Attend regional/national equipment finance industry events (e.g. AACFB, NEFA)
  • Prepare and deliver competent and confident personal/public presentations with and without charts/slides
  • Strictly adhere to and comply with federal and state lending statutes and all PVC and CHB policies
  • Develop tools to monitor, track and report on competition by gathering marketplace info and trends
  • Serve as a Loan Committee voting member as needed/requested
  • Maintain a professional and positive work demeanor and office environment
  • Upon request, assist clients’ in-person, on the phone, or via email to resolve loan problems/requests
  • Facilitate and attend weekly staff meetings; attend/participate in monthly Management Team meetings
  • All other duties of a similar or lesser nature as assigned
