About The Position

Hoods Unlimited and American Fire Shield are growing rapidly and looking for motivated, driven Business Development Interns to join our inside sales team. This internship offers real-world experience in sales, business development, and commercial services, working directly with decision-makers across the restaurant and hospitality industries. As a Business Development Intern, you’ll help generate new business opportunities for commercial kitchen exhaust hood cleaning and kitchen fire suppression services — essential, compliance-driven services required for restaurants, hospitals, schools, senior living communities, hotels, and other commercial kitchens. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how a professional sales process works, from prospecting and outreach to qualifying opportunities and supporting deal closures. If you enjoy talking with people, learning about business, and want exposure to a fast-paced sales environment, this is a great opportunity to build practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with outbound outreach to commercial kitchens (restaurants, hospitals, schools, hotels, senior living communities, etc.)
  • Research and identify potential new customers
  • Qualify leads and identify decision-makers
  • Introduce company services and help generate interest
  • Support the sales team with follow-ups and lead tracking
  • Update prospect information in the CRM system
  • Learn sales scripts, communication strategies, and objection handling
  • Assist in building and managing a pipeline of potential customers
  • Gain exposure to the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
