About The Position

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive commercial solar and energy infrastructure projects for enterprise and mid-market clients. This role focuses on generating new business, managing complex sales cycles, and guiding customers through the full project development lifecycle. The position collaborates closely with engineering, finance, and project teams to deliver technically and financially viable solutions. This is a strong fit for a self-directed sales professional who thrives in complex B2B environments and builds long-term client relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience in renewable energy, construction, HVAC, or related industries
  • Experience selling complex technical or financial solutions with long sales cycles
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders and manage enterprise-level decision-making processes
  • Experience preparing proposals, pricing strategies, and financial models for commercial projects
  • Strong ability to work independently while managing a high-volume sales pipeline
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed

  • Experience in solar or energy infrastructure sales preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle including prospecting, discovery, solution development, proposal creation, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, targeted outreach, industry events, and strategic partnerships
  • Conduct site evaluations and collaborate with technical teams to develop solar and energy project solutions
  • Develop financial models and proposals that clearly communicate project economics, incentives, and ROI
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers including executives, property owners, and operations leaders
  • Lead negotiations and guide clients through contracting and project development processes
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer data within CRM systems
  • Coordinate project handoff to internal operations and project management teams after contract execution
