About The Position

As a Business Development Manager for Storage Solutions, you will be given a firsthand look into the material handling industry. The Business Development Manager position is a critical role in the sales process & is responsible for identifying key decision-makers & new business opportunities to drive pipeline development & sales growth for the Storage Solutions sales team. This position will provide you the opportunity to gain the knowledge, exposure & experience necessary to begin your sales career with Storage Solutions. The Business Development Manager reports to the Director of Business Development & works cross-functionally with salespeople & sales support teams. You will receive ongoing support from a team of dedicated employees who are able to assist in increasing your knowledge & development. We are seeking motivated individuals with a hunter mentality, who have the desire to work in a fast-paced environment!

Requirements

  • Strong phone presence & ability to quickly build rapport & credibility with clients
  • Strong active listening & effective questioning skills
  • Capable of overcoming objections & critical thinking
  • Ability to efficiently manage & prioritize a high volume of leads
  • Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, AutoCAD (preferred but not required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is desired
  • Minimum one year of equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Identify new sales opportunities & set appointments through outbound prospecting channels including phone, email, social, etc.
  • Discover & assess prospect’s pain points & needs to position Storage Solutions as a consultative resource
  • Adhere to defined outbound lead generation & nurturing processes to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) & department objectives
  • Utilize tools provided to contact, research & qualify leads
  • Navigate complex company structures to understand the decision-making & purchasing process
  • Uncover prospect market intelligence & buying signals to build a pipeline of future opportunities
  • Route & track leads following defined processes in Salesforce.com CRM system
  • Network effectively to build relationships
  • Maintain database of leads/prospects, accounts, contacts & opportunities in Salesforce.com CRM
  • Collaborate with project management/sales support team & across organizational departments to prepare proposals & execute projects
  • Participate in internal process improvement projects & cross-functional teams as required
