About The Position

Shulman Rogers is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. The Business Development Manager plays a central role in advancing the firm's growth strategy. This position translates strategic priorities into coordinated action, ensuring that initiatives move forward with consistency, creativity, and measurable impact. Operating with both structure and flexibility, the Business Development Manager assesses priorities, adapts to shifting needs, and works closely with attorneys and practice groups to drive the firm's business objectives.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of business development experience in a professional services environment (preferably in a law firm).
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques.
  • Strong organizational, writing, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM platforms to manage data, track engagement, and maintain organized activity records.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise judgment, and maintain follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and execute firmwide and practice group business development initiatives.
  • Manage individual attorney business development initiatives and follow-up within defined priorities.
  • Support client and relationship development across priority clients and industries.
  • Manage COI nurturing and ongoing relationship management.
  • Support alumni engagement as a relationship and referral channel.
