About The Position

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities for our third-party warehousing and logistics services. This role focuses on developing strategic relationships with shippers, manufacturers, retailers, and other supply chain partners who require customized warehousing, distribution, and value-added logistics solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities within target markets and industries.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through outbound prospecting, referrals, and networking.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer supply chain needs, warehousing requirements, volume profiles, and service expectations.
  • Collaborate with operations, solutions engineering, and finance teams to design and price customized warehousing and distribution solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to close new business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers at prospective and existing customers.
  • Track sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.
  • Stay current on market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings within the 3PL and warehousing space.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions as needed.
