About The Position

ENCON Equipment is on a rocket ship trajectory. We’re the fastest-growing equipment rental company in America for two years running. We’re expanding locations, breaking industry records, and redefining what a best-in-class equipment company looks like. Now we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help us open new doors and bring new customers into the ENCON network. This is a high-visibility, pure new business role. You’ll have a front-row seat connecting with the influential people who keep construction running and businesses moving. If you’re competitive, confident, and energized by being in the room building real relationships, this role will fit you well.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience – Background in business development, marketing, or outside sales with a track record of generating new business.
  • Natural Relationship Builder – You genuinely enjoy networking, meeting new people, and building connections.
  • Outbound Confidence – Comfortable picking up the phone, initiating outreach, and securing meetings with decision-makers.
  • Relentless Follow-Up – You don’t let opportunities stall. You stay on deals until there’s a clear outcome.
  • Pipeline Discipline – Organized, accountable, and consistent with CRM updates and opportunity management.
  • Executive Presence – Confident meeting in professional office environments with executives and senior leaders.
  • Field-Oriented – Willing to travel weekly across the region and stay active in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Go After New Business – Actively pursue targeted customers and turn opportunities into real conversations.
  • Be the Face in the Market – Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows. Build relationships that turn into business.
  • Open the Conversation – Reach decision-makers through phone, email, and professional introductions. Get meetings on the calendar.
  • Meet the Right People – Sit down with executives, purchasing leaders, and operations teams to position ENCON as their rental partner.
  • Work as a Team – Coordinate and conduct in-person meetings alongside our sales team to move deals forward.
  • Own the Follow-Up – Stay on quotes and open opportunities until there’s a clear yes or no.
  • Close the Loop – Secure commitment from new customers and guide them through the decision process.
  • Activate the Account – Complete all new account setup documentation and ensure every new customer is fully onboarded and ready to work with ENCON.
