About The Position

As a Business Development Summer Intern, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding an all-in-one training solution (Laerdal Accelerate) that helps healthcare professionals master life-saving emergency scenarios—from trauma and sepsis decompensation to obstetric crises and advanced airway management. Through Laerdal Accelerate, you’ll gain hands-on experience in market research, strategic planning, and operational support, working alongside industry experts to drive growth and ensure seamless program execution. Requirements

Intern must be available to commit to the entire summer internship (approximately May - August) and work up to five days a week in the Wappingers Falls, NY office (with reliable transportation and local housing). This position may be eligible for a hybrid work structure.
Major or related course work in the following majors; Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration or Operations Management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
Technological proficiency in Gantt charts, Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI for data analysis, project tracking, and reporting is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience or coursework in market research, business strategy, or operational analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze and Optimize Operations: Assist in verifying and testing the current operational procedures of the Laerdal Accelerate program, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and scalability in delivering on-site simulation training for critical clinical scenarios.
Identify Process Improvements: Evaluate workflows related to equipment operation, logistics, curriculum integration, and program execution, identifying areas for improvement to enhance program effectiveness and client experience.
Market Research & Business Expansion: Conduct research to assess new market opportunities, analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings, and provide recommendations for potential program expansion.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect and analyze data on program performance, customer feedback, and operational bottlenecks to drive informed business decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across business development, marketing, operations, and healthcare simulation experts to ensure alignment in program execution and strategy.
Program Standardization & Documentation: Support efforts to standardize processes, develop best practices, and create clear documentation to maintain consistency across all Laerdal Accelerate engagements.
