About The Position

ServiceMaster is a trusted property restoration company serving customers across the nation. With locations spanning coast-to-coast, we help home and business owners return their property to its original condition, while restoring what truly matters—health and safety. Our team is fully vetted, IICRC-certified, and insured for your safety. We are seeking a motivated, loyal, and ambitious person for the Business Development role with experience in the Disaster Restoration industry. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, eager to grow, and thrives in a results-driven environment. This is a commission-based position for someone ready to take ownership of their territory, develop new relationships, and maximize revenue opportunities. Weekly progress reports are required to track success and maintain alignment with company goals. The business development representative is an outside sales position and will be responsible to grow referral base through marketing campaigns and serve as an industry resource for our current referral networks. This position’s goal will also to be to double our brand awareness with traditional and strategic campaigns for our existing referral sources and grow our overall referral base consistently. Candidate must be able to converse with insurance adjusters, property owners and internal staff. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years experience in the Disaster Restoration field; IICRC certifications preferred.
  • 6–12 months of sales experience or prior sales training highly desired.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in using social media and web-based sales tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to present information effectively to clients one-on-one or in small groups.
  • Strong aptitude for basic math related to sales calculations.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally for trade shows, networking events, and post-catastrophe service opportunities.
  • Flexibility to work outside traditional hours when needed to represent the company at social or business events.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and referral sources.
  • Proactively prospect and develop new sales leads in assigned verticals.
  • Engage with insurance agents, adjusters, and other key referral partners to create lasting relationships.
  • Monitor and report weekly and monthly on key referral-source relationships and sales progress.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Continually enhance product knowledge and refine sales techniques tailored to specific client relationships and verticals.
  • Identify and market to all types of referral sources
  • Develop lasting relationships with key referral sources to acquire jobs
  • Identify and attend key events and association meetings to cultivate new referrals sources
  • Manage marketing materials and reorder materials necessary for referral cultivation
  • Manage swag and leave behind gifts/food for referral sources within set budget
  • Operate email campaigns for event cultivation and top of mind brand awareness
  • Work with internal staff to stay informed on all referral source’s jobs
