About The Position

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. You will help build AI tools that improve New Glenn’s ability to deliver on schedule, successfully fly payloads, and maintain cost discipline. Engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations all rely on consistent, trusted, and timely data to make quick, accurate decisions. The size and complexity of New Glenn make this a daily change. We are looking for a candidate to take the lead on how our next generation booster can meet its aggressive cost, schedule, and performance targets. This entails developing and maintaining sophisticated tools that make real-time tracking of progress a reality. Specifically, this candidate will be responsible for managing our design-to-cost (DTC) dashboard and improving its capability. Other efforts include supporting our product upgrades roadmap, statusing cost and other metrics via executive presentations and memos, and investigating emerging bottlenecks in the design-to-production value stream. The successful candidate will work in partnership with senior New Glenn leadership and collaborate with users to prioritize needs and deploy new tools/strategies. By developing and implementing AI and data analytics solutions, you will reduce inefficiencies caused by ad hoc or fragmented data handling between disparate systems. Strong technical skills, excellent communication, and training skills are necessary for success in this role. Requirements

  • Degree or certification in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience. We also welcome candidates with a strong background in a technical field and a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, management consulting, finance or related scope
  • Proficient with SQL, Python, and Power Query.
  • Experience with integrating AI solutions into large-scale software systems and infrastructure.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with VBA is a plus.
  • Prior experience analyzing large sets of data and tracking hardware throughout all stages of a part's lifecycle is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy AI/ML tools specifically for optimizing design-to-cost reporting and improving cost forecast model
  • Support executive presentations and strategic memos including developing analytical models to support recommendations
  • Maintain next generation New Glenn booster upgrades roadmap with schedule, cost, and mass status
  • Identify and transform manual processes into automated solutions with a relentless focus on efficiency and scalability.
  • Champion GS1 strategic memos that improve the NG business case
  • Manage and mentor partner development team(s) providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Responsible Engineers to identify opportunities where AI can enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and analysts to derive insights and drive data-driven decision making.
