About The Position

The Business Manager for the Transplant Program and Comprehensive Liver Center (CLC) provides financial management expertise to the department for strategic planning, budgeting, analysis and decision-making. Works collaboratively with other members of the leadership team and with physician partners to achieve departmental goals. Works collaboratively with HH finance department. Prepares and/or examines various financial and non-financial reports and analyzes the impact of actual and/or proposed operational changes in meeting the department initiatives. Coordinates the preparation and monitoring of the department budgets and oversees the monthly reports of financial performance. Assists the Director to position the department to maximize financial resources in order to achieve goals and objectives. Provides direction for the analysis, implementation and use of information systems and data critical to the financial, operational and reporting needs of the department. The Business Manager for the Transplant Program and Comprehensive Liver Center exemplifies the Hartford Hospital vision and values and acts in accordance with Hartford Hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, health care management, business informatics
  • Three (3) years of experience with hospital operational financial management and financial systems.
  • Experience managing and developing employees.
  • Significant knowledge and demonstrated success in operational analysis, budget management, project management, hospital financial systems, cost accounting systems, and reimbursement systems and modeling.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Self-directed and utilizes available resources to enhance knowledge base and problem solve.
  • Strong skills in Stratajazz, Tableau, Microsoft Office Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word, EPSi, PeopleSoft.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
