About The Position

Banesco USA is seeking a Business Process Designer for our Business Process business unit. Primary Job Duties: Discovery & Interviewing: Conduct deep-dive interviews with process owners and stakeholders to uncover manual bottlenecks, data gaps, waste, errors, and operational inefficiencies. Process Engineering: Adopt a systemic approach to identify operational inefficiencies across end-to-end processes. Document “As-Is” workflows, design “To-Be” architectures that naturally integrate automation orchestration into daily work and define the implementation plan. Collaborate with process owners to document policies and procedures. Value Management: Quantify the potential impact of improvements—including FTE savings, cycle time/waste reduction, and error mitigation—to build compelling business cases that include estimated automation costs. Continuous Improvement & Metrics: Establish a permanent feedback loop where automation performance data triggers ongoing refinements. Define KPIs for efficiency and KRIs for compliance and operational risk and reports to track performance. User Advocacy & Adoption: Act as the “voice of the user”; to ensure solutions are intuitive and add tangible value. Partner with Change Management to support adoption and monitor post-deployment adoption, usability, and process health. End-to-End Functional Blueprints: Serve as the strategic architect by producing the definitive “source of truth”; documentation for solution development, which includes mapping of process orchestration (who, what, how, and when), business rules engines (logic, decision trees, regulatory constraints), and granular functional requirements. Tech Stack & Risk Integration: Act as a “Tech Stack Champion” by recommending the optimal automation tools (RPA, BPM, AI) based on technical logic while ensuring all designs adhere to banking regulations, internal risk controls, and data integrity standards.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Management.

  • Languages: Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Lean & Reengineering Expertise: Proven reengineering experience in waste reduction and process optimization is essential. Lean/Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
  • Tech Fluency: A “Tech Enthusiast” profile with an understanding of BPM, RPA, and AI models. Familiarity with PEGA Systems is a plus.
  • Documentation Excellence: Proven ability to write detailed functional specifications, business rules, and technical-logical requirements.
  • Visual Logic: Ability to create basic functional wireframes using tools like Visio, PowerPoint, or simple mockup tools.
  • Metric Collaboration: Experience identifying performance and risk metrics (KPIs/KRIs) in conjunction with business stakeholders.
  • Risk-Aware: “Risk-aware” mindset regarding data integrity and process controls.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex, cross-departmental processes with extreme precision.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Skilled at interviewing stakeholders and managing the “fear of automation” within teams.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity and able to pivot designs as business priorities change.
  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
