About The Position

Our client is seeking a Business Process Specialist for a temporary contract assignment to support the ArcFM XI / Utility Network (Non -Spatial) upgrade. This role is process -documentation -heavy, requiring strong technical writing, analytical rigor, and organizational change management skills to support go -live and post -go -live stabilization. The selected candidate will document current -state and future -state business process flows, maintain those artifacts throughout implementation, and support stakeholder readiness and training coordination. This role will work closely with the LRDS team, GIS, IT, QA, and vendors to ensure clarity, traceability, and adoption of processes. This role will also support QA activities through requirements traceability and documentation maintenance, and back up the Testing Lead as needed. Our client is undertaking a critical upgrade of its Esri and Schneider -based GIS systems, transitioning from the Geometric Network to the Utility Network Non -Spatial model. This upgrade is essential for modernizing GIS capabilities, improving data management, and aligning with the broader Enterprise GIS program. Given the complexity of this transition, careful planning and execution are required to minimize disruptions and maintain data integrity. A successful migration will enhance the organization’s ability to manage spatial and non -spatial data and ensure seamless integration with critical enterprise systems, including Outage Management Systems (OMS), Work and Asset Management Systems (WACS), and engineering analysis tools. These integrations are vital for maintaining real -time operational efficiency, optimizing asset performance, and enabling data -driven decision -making. By streamlining workflows and reinforcing interoperability across platforms, this upgrade will support future infrastructure and technological advancements, reinforcing our client's commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for the required qualifications.
  • Minimum 7 years of business analysis or business process documentation experience on technology projects in the utility industry.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with emphasis on written deliverables.
  • Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcFM applications, and GIS -based workflows.
  • Experience with business process modeling, workflows, and data analysis.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve GIS -related defects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross -functional teams, including business users, IT staff, and vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ArcGIS Utility Network migrations from Geometric Network.
  • Familiarity with utility engineering analysis tools that consume GIS electrical network models (e.g., power system analysis or planning tools).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, ModelBuilder, and FME for geospatial analysis and automation.
  • Business Analyst Certification (CCBA or CBAP).
  • Experience engaging with senior management and executives.
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills to drive consensus.
  • Expertise in developing and monitoring performance metrics
