The Business Systems Analyst IV – SAP IBP is responsible for the design, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solutions. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable IBP solutions that improve demand forecasting, supply/inventory planning, and end-to-end planning performance. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert for IBP processes, integrations, and analytics, ensuring system stability, data accuracy, and continuous improvement.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into system-supported solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software testing and change control processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-starter with a strong results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting SAP IBP solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP IBP modules and planning processes.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning and forecasting concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting methodologies within SAP IBP.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP CI-DS and/or AATP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an SAP IBP functional expert, providing support for technical questions, planning results, and system behavior through a deep understanding of the current IBP configuration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to gather requirements, design future-state planning processes, and deliver IBP solutions aligned with business objectives and best practices.
  • Configure and enhance SAP IBP modules, including: o Demand Planning o Supply Planning o Inventory Optimization (IO) o Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
  • Provide functional and technical guidance to project teams during the implementation of new IBP capabilities, functionality, and enhancements.
  • Manage IBP system updates, including impact assessment, testing coordination, defect resolution, and post-deployment validation.
  • Design, configure, and support integrations between SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP, including master data and transactional data flows.
  • Monitor daily data integrations and optimizer profiles, proactively identifying and resolving data, performance, or technical issues.
  • Ensure IBP inputs, outputs, KPIs, and planning analytics are accurately designed and aligned with business decision-making needs.
  • Develop and maintain IBP analytic stories and dashboards to support executive and operational planning visibility.
  • Optimize demand forecasting models to improve forecast accuracy and planning outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Support IBP user adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing education for business users.
  • Stay current on SAP IBP releases, new features, and industry best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to prioritize enhancements, plan releases, and manage change.
