About The Position

Business Systems Analyst-Senior is responsible to perform system analysis, cost analysis, and design for software development/acquisition projects. The business analyst acts as a liaison with business and clinical users and the software development / application team(s). Senior-level professional experienced in all aspects of business systems analysis. Encompasses full knowledge required within the software development lifecycle with a focus on business workflow and requirements. Typically designs and develops approaches that are implemented by others. Is able to function with minimal oversight and direction. Provides technical guidance to peers. Essential Functions Serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear, consistent, and effective communication. Effectively conveys advanced technical information both written and verbal to diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization and vendor partners from executives to end-users. Utilizes a variety of elicitation techniques, such as job-shadowing, interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis, to gather comprehensive business requirements from stakeholders. Oversees the entire requirement lifecycle, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment on systems solutions and that all requirements are accurately documented, validated, and managed. Creates clear, concise documentation such as living documentation, gap analysis, requirement specifications, data mapping as well as visual artifacts such as mockups/wireframes, workflows, business process flows, current "as-is" state and future "to-be" state. Understands all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and is knowledgeable and can incorporate different software development methodologies to achieve best outcomes as well as acquires and maintains an advanced understanding of the technical and functional architecture, security and compliance requirements of assigned systems and integration. Perform detail troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex system issues by examining logs and querying backend systems, ensuring system stability and performance by engaging the right resources, stakeholders, or vendor partners. Coaches and mentors peers up to and including own level by providing guidance and support on all job essentials, along with leading by example for fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Four years of equivalent information technology, clinical, or healthcare insurance experience.
  • Six years experience providing business systems analyst support using formalized industry-accepted BA techniques and methods to provide.
  • Understands general concepts of business/healthcare environment, types of information used, how the data is produced, consumed, and transformed.
  • Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Four years of equivalent information technology, clinical, or healthcare insurance experience.
  • Three years as an expert user of targeted system(s) in use.
  • Three years experience providing business systems analyst support using formalized industry-accepted BA techniques and methods to provide,
  • Demonstrated understanding of general concepts of business/healthcare environment, types of information used, how the data is produced, consumed, and transformed.
