UW MEDICINE ENTERPRISE WIDE REVENUE CYCLE OPERATIONS has an outstanding opportunity for a PATIENT ACCESS BUSINESS OPERATIONS/SYSTEMS ANALYST Work Schedule 100% FTE Days - May also work off hours and weekends Remote – but able to have quick access to multiple sites, including both medical centers and UW Medicine Services POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The UW Medicine Patient Access Business Operations/Systems Analyst is both a technical and business operational subject matter expert and program Epic systems expert who proactively identifies process and system opportunities by performing in-depth root cause analysis of financial data and technical system languages DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Enterprise Wide Revenue Cycle Operations supports all of UW Medicine Patient Access, Hospital Billing, Physician Billing, Finance, Hospital Operations and other related operations that use Epic system functionality PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the investigation, building, technical specification documentation, system development and implementation of complex Epic system and workflow projects that promote financial operational efficiencies, reduce denials, decrease overall costs, increase application system efficiency, increase upfront collections, minimize errors, improve timely follow-up and billing to ensure overall technical system performance and workflow efficiencies. Extract financial data using data analytic tools, reviewed at the encounter level as well as across the organization focusing on root cause and recommendation for mitigation to ensure accuracy and sustained system and financial organization metrics are met Proactively monitor financial statistics for modeling, risk mitigation and error resolution Perform financial data analysis to determine organization impacts and mitigation strategies Lead financial project management for implementation of new program implementation based off of root cause analysis completed during financial analysis Act as quality assurance liaison between Epic application system end users, revenue cycle leadership, training resources and system developers Proactive review of statistical data related to financial programs ABOUT UW MEDICINE – WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHER UW Medicine is Washington’s only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
