About The Position

This role offers a high-impact opportunity to design, develop, and scale AI-driven business applications within a fast-growing technology environment. The Business Technology AI Engineer IV will leverage machine learning, generative AI, and software engineering best practices to build innovative solutions that transform operational workflows and drive measurable results. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, to prototype, implement, and support AI-powered tools and infrastructure. The position demands hands-on experience with large datasets, cloud platforms, and AI frameworks, with the ability to iterate rapidly on proof-of-concepts. You will have the autonomy to shape AI solutions that have real-world operational impact across multiple industries, from transportation to manufacturing. This fully remote role allows flexibility while contributing to meaningful, large-scale AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years with large datasets and data pipelines.
• Proven experience building Generative AI applications and LLM-powered solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or equivalent programming languages.
• Knowledge of scalable API and microservices design.
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred, GCP/Azure acceptable).
• Familiarity with AI frameworks, RAG, Agentic AI orchestration, LangChain, Llama Index, and related technologies.
• Experience with prompt engineering, tuning, and shipping AI-driven applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven business applications, with a focus on Generative AI capabilities.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI-based solutions, including MVPs and proof-of-concepts.
• Implement evaluation frameworks for AI applications leveraging foundational models and LLMs.
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure maintainable, scalable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into business operations.
• Provide production support, monitor AI systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and frameworks, incorporating best practices into solutions.
