About The Position

Kindred Fare - A Spirited Cookery is a full-service restaurant located in the heart of the Finger Lakes with a focus on scratch cookery using seasonal & local ingredients. We have been featured in Forbes, Wine Spectator, Eater, and have won "Best Farm to Table Restaurant" four years in a row by The Finger Lakes Times Readers' Choice Awards. We are extremely popular with locals & travelers to our region with positive online reviews and guest feedback. We have a strong beverage focus with cool climate wine & spirits & are highly engaged in the local industry. On Monday nights our culinary team works together to build a three-course themed prix fixe, something our community looks forward to each week. Our open kitchen celebrates the culinary craft & keeps our whole team in sync with the guests. If this sounds like an environment you would like to work in, it’s time we hear from you!

We have part time positions available starting April, May or June working 2-5 nights per week starting at 6pm. Let us know what you are looking for and we will work it out. We believe taking care of our team helps us take care of our guests. It’s a win/win.

Busser & Polisher:
We are currently looking for bussers & polishers to join our team for busy nights at our lively & social restaurant.

Requirements

• previous restaurant experience & high volume setting preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• complete side work & cleaning duties to a high standard
• work thoroughly & quickly - have a sense of urgency when accomplishing tasks
• use service trays to bus tables thoroughly & efficiently
• thoroughly clean dining room tables, chairs & floor during service - we need everything to be guest-ready!
• manage the cleaning, polishing & stocking of all glass & silverware during service
• work well in a fast paced environment - we need someone who can keep up!
• maintain a clean and organized station, dining room & all help maintain all FOH stations
• effective communication & team work - you need to be able to work with all service staff
• be a professional: remain composed - you are “on stage” at all times that you are in the dining room
• part-time availability & willingness to be flexible with our team as needed
