About The Position

Functions and Responsibilities: Entering and maintaining supplier database information in the business management system Request quote(s) to multiple suppliers Build and maintain a supplier base - selecting appropriate suppliers based on price, lead time, and quantity. Be able to accurately create, follow-up and expedited a supplier purchase orders or purchase requisitions. Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customer, including current suppliers and new supplier(s) Record, maintain assigned supplier scorecards. Investigate supplier responses and make needed improvements as directed by department manager Document and measure supplier performance (product quality/on time delivery) Adhere to ISO procedure qualifications and work with Quality Department to perform supplier audits Addressing minor and major product/service issues with supplier Solid knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP for daily assigned tasks Research and understand current supplier abilities and products Cost analysis of current products and vendors associated with scope of work Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems Negotiate pricing and terms of services with current suppliers Support and/or drive FVMT continuous improvement initiatives QualificationsEducation: A Supply Chain Management Degree (or equivalent experience) is required Experience: Must be a US citizen 2-6 years buying/purchasing experience is required 1-3 years metal manufacturing/fabrication business experience is preferred 1-3 years applied coatings and chemical treatments is preferred Specialized Experience: 2-6 years Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) is preferred Manufacturing blueprint reading experience is preferred Knowledge of defense related requirements such as ITAR, Flow Down Requirements, and Certificates of Conformance is preferred

Requirements

  • A Supply Chain Management Degree (or equivalent experience) is required
  • Must be a US citizen
  • 2-6 years buying/purchasing experience is required
  • 2-6 years Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP for daily assigned tasks

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years metal manufacturing/fabrication business experience is preferred
  • 1-3 years applied coatings and chemical treatments is preferred
  • Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) is preferred
  • Manufacturing blueprint reading experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of defense related requirements such as ITAR, Flow Down Requirements, and Certificates of Conformance is preferred
