About The Position

The Buyer Planner role focuses on managing material requirements, procuring materials, and optimizing inventory levels to meet production schedules, including coordinating with vendors and handling import compliance. Key responsibilities include planning requirements based on forecasts, managing supplier relations, optimizing inventory, ensuring timely procurement, and processing Engineering Change Orders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management.
• 5+ years of experience as a Buyer/Planner in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in MRP/JIT systems and managing Kanban with foreign suppliers.
• Experience with US Customs regulations and international import procedures.
• Strong negotiating, organizational, and MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans material requirements for product lines to meet production schedules.
• Executes purchasing functions, including vendor selection and price negotiations.
• Manages inventory levels and resolves discrepancies to meet company objectives.
• Coordinates international imports, customs compliance, and freight forwarding.
• Maintains supplier relationships and resolves material issues.
