Based in our Sherman, TX location, you will be responsible for the planning and procurement of items/commodities for production of valves and controllers in accordance with company policies. This position is also responsible for the management of customer orders and backlog. In this role, you will be responsible for: Plan, release, and reschedule supply using Planner Workbench to align demand, capacity, and material availability. Manage customer order commitments, including order acknowledgment, date management, and expediting in support of the production plan. Own material planning for assigned parts, including purchase order execution, standard cost updates, and return-to-supplier coordination. Improve on-time delivery, lead times, and inventory health through proactive planning. Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional partners to execute material strategies, resolve supply issues, and support cost and procurement initiatives. You are decisive and make high-quality decisions, even when based on incomplete information or in the face of uncertainty. You always keep the end in sight and put in extra effort to meet deadlines. You deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. For this role you will need: Appropriate BS or BA degree or APICS certification or 5 years in Planning and/or Purchasing in a Manufacturing environment or a combination of education and work experience. Strong organizational and planning skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of MRP, JIT, and Kanban. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools.
